Paris

In what can already be described as one of the worst tragedies in music history, over 100 concertgoers were killed tonight after a terrorist attack at an Eagles of Death Metal concert in Paris. These fans did nothing wrong except be at the wrong place at the wrong time. They went to have a good night out, seeing a great band live in an intimate venue; and for that, they paid with their lives.

Our hearts are with the victims’ loved ones, but we are music lovers. We will not be bent, and we will not be broken. While those responsible for the heartbreaking atrocities in Paris will pay dearly, I hope you join me in cranking up some music tonight (if you can’t see a live show). Play it loudly, play it defiantly, and play it with a middle finger stuck in the air.
